Training

Whether you’re a newcomer to OpenLaszlo or an experienced pro, Laszlo offers primary training courses that will take you to the next level of skill and productivity.

We currently offer the following four classes:

I. OpenLaszlo Fundamentals: A two-day, in-class course that introduces the fundamental concepts of building applications using the OpenLaszlo platform. Student participation is strongly encouraged, and there is plenty of lab-time where students become proficient with writing in OpenLaszlo’s mark-up language, LZX.

II. Building OpenLaszlo Applications: An intensive, five-day course that covers advanced concepts and methods in building complex applications using the OpenLaszlo platform. This course is conducted in-class and OpenLaszlo Fundamentals or a firm grounding in LZX syntax and methodology are required.

III. Webtop Configuration, Customization & Deployment: A two-day hands-on training class, which focuses on installing, configuring, supporting and customizing Laszlo Webtop. This class is intended for a system administrator or developer audience.  Students are expected to be familiar with Unix/Linux/Windows environments, and have an understanding of HTTP and other protocols. Understanding of some basic programming concepts and CSS is expected.  LZX development is helpful but not required.

IV. Onsite Training: Both the OpenLaszlo Fundamentals and Building OpenLaszlo Applications courses, as well as customized training programs, can be conducted onsite. This is ideal for customers looking to jumpstart whole teams of OpenLaszlo developers, taking them from the basics to advanced development techniques.
