Webtop Architecture

Webtop is distributed as a pair of J2EE servlets. One contains the Java code that enables the server framework and any packaged services. The other contains a certified OpenLaszlo distribution and the LZX and JavaScript client framework code.

Webtop implements and understands the XML Protocol described below. As such, it is possible to use Webtop Client components without the Webtop Server, and vice-versa, although this should be uncommon.
