Laszlo Systems announces new mobile solution providing converged user experience optimized across applications and devices
New mobile solution complements the Laszlo Webtop Desktop solution, extending presence from the web to mobile devices and tablets
SAN MATEO, CA – February 8, 2011 – Laszlo Systems, the leading provider of cloud-based solutions delivering interoperability across applications optimized for mobile and web-enabled user experience, today announced the expansion of its product portfolio with a comprehensive mobile offering, Webtop Mobile, that enables service providers and other organizations to broaden customer engagement across multiple devices.
Webtop Mobile includes an application that provides a converged view of “your data” from multiple sources across messages, contacts, media and calendar events. The application allows seamless interaction between personal, service provider and external services (such as Facebook, Gmail or Twitter) designed to meet the needs of today’s connected users. The application uniquely enables users to navigate through their content, regardless of source, and easily focus on specific data, for example view recent activity across contacts across services or see all related contacts and media to a single message. The Webtop Mobile application complements the Laszlo Webtop Desktop solution, extending presence from the web to mobile devices and tablets.
“Laszlo has taken a game changing approach with mobility that leverages bi-directional interaction between the cloud and any connected device,” said George Shahid, CEO of Laszlo Systems. “Combining our well regarded user experience capabilities with our client-server framework technology, we are bringing a unique mobile solution that enables users to manage, share and navigate their data across applications, services and devices”.
Utilizing Laszlo’s Webtop platform and advanced suite of connectors, Webtop Mobile also enables users to remotely access, from the cloud, multiple personal devices such as mobile phones, tablets, PCs and TVs. It enables interaction across and between capable devices and other cloud services while delivering a holistic view of status and other valuable information related to the device (battery life, location, storage, etc.). For example, a user can move and share photos and files from their mobile device to their TV using a simple drag and drop over the web, all done with a compelling user interface.
“Webtop Mobile represents a huge opportunity with the possibility to remotely access and manage any connected-device including set-top-boxes, home media boxes, and even appliances,” said Shahid. “We look forward to working with our customers and other service providers to extend brand presence and increase customer loyalty.”
Laszlo Systems will be demonstrating the new converged offerings in Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, February 14-17, 2011. Come visit us at Hall 7, App Planet, Cloud Pavilion stand 7CZ1.
