Qualifications:

• Solid technical foundation in Internet technologies. That means you have a deep understanding of the common technologies and protocols involved (HTTP, IMAP, servlet containers, HTML, XML, etc.).
• More than 3 years of customer facing project coordination experience - You can coordinate maintenance and emergency patch releases. This is a senior position and you should be comfortable taking charge of accounts.
• Hands on technical troubleshooting experience - You're comfortable working on the command-line, configuring servers and analyzing log files.
• Superb oral and written communication skills. You know how to talk to customers professionally, write effective emails, and are familiar with bug tracking software and support ticketing system.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Laszlo's enterprise customers to understand and help them reproduce errors reported in Laszlo's deployed, web-based applications.
• Manage the full life-cycle of maintenance releases of Laszlo's software.  Responsible for coordinating between Laszlo's customers and development team to make sure that fixes are delivered in a timely manner.
• Set up servers for testing or reproduction of customer environments.
• Build and maintain technical support knowledgebase.
• Be prepared to respond to customers off-hours for rare critical issues.
• Work with Product Management team to review and prioritize customer reported feature requests.
• Generate support related business metrics regularly.

 

Requirements

• 4+ years of customer support experience, specifically working with enterprise customers.
• Experience managing maintenance releases, or software development projects.
• UNIX/Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with servlet containers.
• Some prior development/scripting experience (e.g. Java, JavaScript, etc).
